Zane's Trace, the first road in Ohio, carved out of the wilderness by Colonel Ebenezer Zane in 1796-97.

I published an essay called "Trace" about this road in ECOllective.
A photo blog devoted to daily life in and around the village of New Concord, Ohio.

The trace pictures are good, this route makes a great place to ride a bike according to my son who lives with his family in New Concord and rides his bicycle to keep fit. I love to see the pictures because I live in Boise, ID. and will not visit Ohio at my age.
Thanks for your message! And yes, in fact, I took those photos while I was out on a bike ride along the Trace.
